Amdocs (NYSE: DOX), the leading provider of customer experience systems, today announced that Jupiter Telecommunications (J:COM), Japan’s largest multiple system and channel operator, has expanded its relationship with Amdocs with the selection of new products from the Amdocs CES 7.5 product portfolio. J:COM will deploy Amdocs customer management and billing solutions to address its future growth and to manage its billing for multi-play products and services.
Amdocs is continuing their partnership with Sumisho Computer Systems Corporation, a local systems integrator, in this project. Together, Sumisho Computer Systems and Amdocs have been providing J:COM with a number of products and services including customer care and billing products for more than fifteen years. J:COM is a leading provider of cable television, high speed Internet access, telephony and mobile services through 23 managed franchises, 48 separate systems, and serves approximately 3.2 million subscribers.
“At J:COM, we are pioneering new products and services to deliver the most compelling customer experience,” said Tomoya Aoki, Managing Director and chief financial officer of J:COM. “J:COM’s long standing relationship with Amdocs and its innovative solutions will enable us to deliver operational and technical strategies for sustained growth and subscriber support across our business. J:COM will deploy a key product from Amdocs CES 7.5, Amdocs Smart Agent Desktop. This agent portal provides a unified agent desktop to manage all customer interactions regardless of where the information resides, and supports first-call resolution. The Amdocs Smart Agent Desktop will enable J:COM agents to respond quickly to service and information requests, and make recommendations for new services to its customers.
In addition, J:COM will upgrade its billing system to Amdocs CES Multi-Play Smart Pack billing.
