Amdocs introduces new features for its digital commerce solution to improve the online retail experience

New functionality helps service providers to better compete in the digital economy

ST. LOUIS (May 04, 2009) –

Amdocs (NYSE: DOX), the leading provider of customer experience systems, announced a new release of its digital commerce solution. The enhanced Amdocs Interactive Digital Commerce Solution includes significant enhancements that address the needs of service providers worldwide to better monetize their networks and offer customers a personalized shopping experience.

Part of the Amdocs CES (Customer Experience Systems) product portfolio, the Amdocs Interactive Digital Commerce Solution is based on the Qpass platform and readily integrates with existing back-office systems and automates the entire content lifecycle-from partner on-boarding, to content discovery, delivery, partner settlement, and customer support. It allows consumers to more conveniently access the latest digital content online and perform an expanded set of functions in an easy-to-use self-service mode.

New benefits introduced today include:

* Enhanced Customer Experience: The new release includes the Stored Value functionality which improves the customer experience and helps reduce churn by allowing service providers to create attractive membership clubs and loyalty programs that reward high-value, long-term customers. While the Stored Value capability applies to digital products, it can also be used to drive revenues from other products and services. For example, customers can receive an incentive to upgrade their service plans in the form of a voucher redeemable at the service provider’s digital storefront.
* Improved Monetization: The new release allows off-portal content providers to offer more flexible pricing and subscription options that reflect current market needs. This will enable content providers to merchandise their digital goods more effectively and drive maximum profitability. This in turn enables service providers to share in increased off-portal content revenues.
* Faster Time to Market: The new streamlined backfill process will allow service providers to launch new products faster because it simplifies the addition of media files in support of new handsets. For example, new game versions can be added incrementally without the burden of reloading earlier versions each time.
* Social merchandizing: In today’s market, every consumer wants to have a voice. The new release allows users to rate content and share their feedback. This helps customers to make informed purchasing decisions and allows the service provider to monitor and improve the quality of its digital merchandise.
* Parental controls: The new release supports multiple content rating schemes (such as the Motion Picture Association of America for movies and Entertainment Software Rating Board for games) across various media types and geographies. This feature aims to help parents protect their children from inappropriate content.

Amdocs Interactive products, services and solutions help service providers deliver a superior online customer experience, particularly as they evolve toward ubiquitous all-IP networks.
