Amdocs Delivers Value, Results Needed for These Times through Enhanced Services

New methodology helps Amdocs to continue to deliver on time, on budget and with high quality

BARCELONA (February 17, 2009) –

At Mobile World Congress 2009, Amdocs (NYSE: DOX), the market leader in customer experience systems, announces enhanced services to lower the risk and cost of system implementation projects of all sizes. Whether service providers undertake sweeping transformation or incremental changes to their systems and operations, Amdocs’ delivery, project governance and testing services ensure reliable, low-risk results.

Throughout 2008, Amdocs phased in adoption of the Theory of Constraints and its “Critical Chain” method of project management, developed by Dr. Eliyahu Goldratt. According to this methodology, when organizations focus on fewer projects at a time and manage them at a global level, rather than at a department or team level, these projects can be executed in less time with fewer resources.

According to Gartner1, typically 20 percent to 40 percent of IT projects fail. With today’s economic pressures, it is imperative for service providers to ensure the delivery of projects on time, on budget with the highest standards of quality. Today’s announcement further strengthens Amdocs’ industry leading capabilities with new results-oriented delivery capabilities:

* Results-oriented services: Amdocs has developed two new services, announced today, to target and manage the risk and cost of its projects. Through the new Benefits Realization Management service, Amdocs consultants help customers to identify the business goals and related metrics associated with the impact of technology, either Amdocs’ or a third party. The new Exceed Customer Expectations program is part of the delivery process. Here, Amdocs works closely with client-side stakeholders to monitor the performance of the people, processes and technology the project relies on to meet its goals and earn its return on investment.

* SI Testing services: Amdocs’ sophisticated testing services assess the integration and production-readiness of Amdocs and third-party applications, or the combination of both. Using proprietary tools and proven methodology, Amdocs SI Testing services have been shown to reduce the testing cost for newly implemented applications and bring these applications online more quickly than anticipated, generating more immediate results from new systems.

Additionally, Amdocs can support its applications beyond implementation with world-class managed services, as delivered by its Global Strategic Sourcing division.

“We realize that success is not only about the software our customers use. In these difficult economic times, more than ever, it’s about the results they can achieve,” says Michael Couture, head of Global Marketing for Amdocs. “A key differentiator for Amdocs’ is our ability to integrate our products into customers’ business and technical environments, using our own delivery services and providing a ‘one-stop shop’ from scoping to production. This combination of products, services, and more than a quarter-century’s experience serving the industry provides the accountability and reliability our customers need and our competitors can’t match. To put it simply, our corporate DNA is all about making our service provider customers successful.”
