Amdocs Recognized as ‘BSS Vendor of the Year’ and ‘Most Innovative Vendor of the Year’ in Asia Pacific

Amdocs awarded for industry contribution and innovation at Telecom Asia’s 2010 Readers’ Choice Awards

ST. LOUIS (January 18, 2011) – Amdocs (NYSE: DOX), the leading provider of customer experience systems, today announced that it has been recognized as “BSS Vendor of the Year” for the second consecutive year in Telecom Asia’s Readers’ Choice Awards.  In addition, Amdocs received Telecom Asia’s editor’s recognition award for the “Most Innovative Vendor of the Year”. Telecom Asia is a leading online information source for telecom companies and professionals across Asia Pacific.

The Readers’ Choice Awards are held annually to recognize technology innovations and industry contributions made by top telecom vendors operating in Asia Pacific. Nominations were made by analysts and consultants, with the final vote given to Telecom Asia’s online subscriber base of service providers across Asia Pacific.

“Amdocs is clearly seen by our voting readership of local service providers as a leading vendor of software and services, addressing their need to streamline operations, personalize the customer experience and introduce new business models,” said Joseph Waring, Telecom Asia group editor.

Among the innovative Amdocs offerings which contributed to these awards was the company’s convergent, real-time charging technology – Amdocs Turbo Charging – that allows service providers to offer hybrid prepaid postpaid offerings on low-cost hardware. Turbo Charging technology has set the industry record for real-time charging performance, demonstrating the ability to process 276 million calls during peak calling hours, also known as busy hour call attempts (BHCA).

“Amdocs has a relentless commitment to innovative business value, and we have several forums in place such as the Amdocs Board of Advisors and regional customer summits where we engage with our customers to ensure we align with their growth strategies,” said Brian Shepherd, Amdocs group president and head of Broadband Cable and Satellite, Diversified Growth and Global Marketing. “These types of awards, along with our many successful customer deployments and recent sales wins in Asia Pacific, demonstrate that Amdocs is meeting the needs of local service providers in this highly competitive and fast moving market.”

Amdocs regional highlights over the past year include:
