Malta’s Melita Group Selects Amdocs for Business Support Systems Consolidation

Amdocs will consolidate systems and processes across all lines of business allowing Melita to introduce quad-play bundles and a single bill across offerings

MALTA (October 25, 2012) –  Amdocs (NYSE: DOX), the leading provider of customer experience systems and services, and the Melita Group (Melita), a leading Maltese service provider offering TV, Internet, fixed-line and mobile communications services, today announced that Melita has selected Amdocs for an end-to-end BSS (business support systems) consolidation project. Amdocs will deliver Amdocs CES (customer experience systems) portfolio software and third-party software and hardware, replacing legacy systems and consolidating service delivery, customer life-cycle management and billing across Melita’s multiple lines of business.

Melita will deploy Amdocs Compact CES – a network-connected, integrated suite that includes convergent, real-time charging, service delivery, customer-care and self-care capabilities. As a result, Melita will be able to introduce quad-play service bundles and a single bill across services, helping to differentiate itself in the marketplace and attract new customers. Melita will also be able to offer a broad range of customer self service capabilities, further improving the customer experience.

“Our BSS transformation project with Amdocs will help position Melita as a truly integrated quad-play service provider,” said Simon Montanaro, chief technology officer at Melita. “We selected Amdocs for its rapid implementation and proven systems integration capabilities to ensure a successful and cost-efficient delivery of this strategic project.”

“By consolidating disparate BSS processes on Amdocs Compact CES, Melita will be able to simplify IT, customer service, marketing, sales, finance and dealer operations, reducing time-to-market for new offerings and saving on operational costs,” said Rebecca Prudhomme, vice president for product and solutions marketing at Amdocs. “Amdocs will also be providing new self-service tools to help Melita’s customers manage their accounts. As a result, Melita will be able to reduce customer visits to retail stores and calls to its call center, generating additional cost savings.”
