Marketo’s Phil Fernandez and Maria Pergolino Named to ’50 Most Influential People in Sales Lead Management’ 2011 List

Marketo Executives Rank in Top 15; Recognized as Thought Leaders in Revenue Performance Management

SAN MATEO, Calif., Dec. 15, 2011 — Marketo, the fastest-growing provider of Revenue Performance Management (RPM) technology, today announced that president and CEO Phil Fernandez and senior director of marketing Maria Pergolino have both been named to the Sales Lead Management Association’s (SLMA) list of “50 Most Influential People in Sales Lead Management.” Their inclusion on the SLMA list is a testament to the new way Marketo is empowering companies to align sales and marketing to improve revenue performance.

Over 7,000 votes were cast for 79 nominees, with Fernandez and Pergolino both ranking in the top 15, and several Marketo partners also ranking highly on the final list of 50. A third-year SLMA honoree, Fernandez has propelled Marketo past 1,400 customers in just four years, and most recently led the company in securing $50 million in new venture financing to fuel its own business growth. His leadership in Revenue Performance Management over the past year has also won Marketo the titles of one of “America’s Most Promising Companies” by Forbes Magazine, the fastest-growing private company by the Silicon Valley Business Journal, and the “CRM Market Leaders Awards Winner for Marketing Solutions” by CRM Magazine. 

On the heels of winning her first Stevie Award for Women in Business for Employee of the Year, Pergolino lands in sixth position on this year’s prestigious list.
