First On-Demand ERP/CRM/Ecommerce Suite to Empower Mobile Workers
SAN MATEO, Calif. (May 24, 2007) – NetSuite, Inc., the leader in on-demand business management software, today announced that NetSuiteĀ® is available wirelessly on mobile devices such as BlackBerry, Windows Mobile and Palm Treo. Third-party application developers Antenna Software, Explore Mobile and iEnterprises have extended NetSuite via NetSuite’s SuiteFlex development and integration platform to meet the needs of wireless users, providing NetSuite customers with a variety of choices for mobile solutions. Unlike stand-alone solutions typically targeted at only sales users, NetSuite is the first end-to-end business management software application in the SaaS industry that allows all mobile users to perform their key business activities from accounts receivable, to quote and order management, to closing transactions and sales, to customer support and service. Each of these end-to-end processes is now available to the mobile worker via their wireless device with NetSuite extensions from Antenna Software, Explore Mobile and iEnterprises. With NetSuite now on mobile devices, users can have access to key data in real-time and from everywhere to run their business as usual while away from the office. SuiteFlex Powers NetSuite Wireless Access Via Third-Party Software Developers
SuiteFlex — NetSuite’s application development and integration platform — is designed to enable the extension of NetSuite to third-party systems, the creation of third-party vertical applications within NetSuite, as well as the customization of end-to-end business processes for any end-user company. SuiteTalk, a key component of SuiteFlex, allows third-parties to easily extend core NetSuite data and processes to other systems through industry-standard Web Services. Leveraging SuiteTalk, NetSuite partners Antenna Software, iEnterprises and Explore Mobile have extended the NetSuite application to the mobile worker, creating a real-time environment for users to do business as usual without having access to a Web browser or the Internet.
Key NetSuite operations now available to mobile users on their wireless device include:
oCreating new orders complete with product and service line-items as well as accurate pricing
oGenerating quotes that can be emailed or faxed to the prospect and are ready for sales management approval
oAccessing complete historical background on customers or prospects including notes, tasks, calls, activities and opportunity details
oCreating new leads for later qualification and follow-up, as well as new opportunities that are instantly reflected in the forecast
oManaging daily activities such as calls, tasks, and meetings along with updates to notes and action items
“While thousands of companies have standardized on NetSuite as their system of record, these new technologies allow companies of all sizes and industries to run their entire business anytime and from everywhere,” said Zach Nelson, CEO, NetSuite. “With NetSuite on your wireless device, now not only can you take the order, but you can take it while on the customer site, or even on the golf course.”
“A wireless strategy is critical for today’s roaming workforce to remain connected with the real data they work with. The requirement for wireless connectivity surpasses the need to just access emails and send text messages; now the requirement is for access to real data and the ability to conduct transactions remotely,” states Sheryl Kingstone, director of Yankee Group’s Customer-Centric Strategies Decision Service. “In addition, wireless use extends beyond just sales representatives — it is also required for field service staff, travelling health and home service providers, and many other professionals.”
NetSuite’s wireless partners leverage SuiteFlex to extend NetSuite to the mobile worker. These partners include:
Antenna Software
Antenna Software’s AMPower(TM) for NetSuite mobile solution provides the ability to access and update essential customer and order information in real-time from the NetSuite system from a variety of wireless handheld devices. With AMPower for NetSuite, sales and service representatives can create quotes and orders, and view and edit customer records, opportunities, contacts, events and tasks found within their NetSuite accounts using a wireless handheld device such as a BlackBerry smart phone, Palm Treo, or Windows Mobile device. “More companies are embracing mobility as an integral part of their CRM solution right from the start,” said Jim Hemmer, CEO and president of Antenna Software. “The beauty of our partnership with NetSuite — and the seamless integration between our technologies — is that it offers NetSuite customers a quick, straightforward and cost-effective way to mobilize their CRM applications so they can hit the ground running. We look forward to continued success.”
Explore Mobile
Explore Mobile’s Explore Order Entry allows sales reps to retrieve, update and take orders via their mobile device and have them quickly uploaded into NetSuite with the click of a button. Accessible over a wireless data network, the Explore application allows a complete order to be created on the mobile device together with item and current pricing details. The order is then ready for approval by sales management, with email confirmation back to the sales person and customer. In addition, the Advanced Price List (APL) service allows complete item price lists to be extracted and emailed directly from a mobile device, including volume discount price breaks. Finally, Field Sales Rep (FSR 3) allows the sales person to search a customer’s name on the handheld and retrieve his or her account info from NetSuite, eliminating the need to call back to the office for information. “Our solution originated as a proof-of-concept to the extensible product capabilities SuiteFlex was going to open up for third-party development,” said Jeremy DeSpain, COO and partner of Explore Mobile. “The immediate demand for the field sales rep concept of providing the ability to mobilize their NetSuite CRM data on their handheld was enormous. With Explore’s latest release of FSR 3, our sales reps can take orders right from the golf course!”
