TORONTO, Canada (April 25, 2006) – NetSuite, Inc., the leader in on-demand business management software for small and medium-sized businesses, today announced that NetSuite’s award-winning product offering, NetSuite CRM+, has been integrated into the curriculum of the CRM course at St. Lawrence College. The CRM course, called Mark 12 Customer Relationship Management, equips third year marketing students with the required knowledge and practical skills necessary to fully leverage CRM. After working with NetSuite as part of the Ontario Colleges Marketing Competition, St. Lawrence College, which won the Sales Presentation portion of the competition, decided to introduce the students to NetSuite CRM+. As part of the curriculum, each student will practice and demonstrate the ability to use NetSuite CRM+ functionality to improve the operations of a business. St. Lawrence College began offering CRM software to students in the semester beginning January 2006. With NetSuite CRM+ as the foundation, students are learning the fundamentals of customer relationship management including Order Management, Sales Force Automation, Customer Support Management, Enterprise Marketing Management and Business Intelligence. NetSuite is providing St. Lawrence College with technical support in addition to licenses for students to use NetSuite CRM+. The course is required in the third and final year of the Business Administration Program at St. Lawrence College.
“NetSuite donated software and support for the Sales Presentation portion of the Ontario Colleges Marketing Competition last fall, and it was through this experience with NetSuite that St. Lawrence became interested in bringing it to campus,” said Ian Wilson, Dean of the School of Business at St. Lawrence College. “Students and faculty have been working with the NetSuite product for a few weeks now and both the experience and response have been very positive.”
“NetSuite is pleased to provide technology and support to not only help run education institutions, but also to assist on the academic side,” said Marc Huffman, VP and General Manager of NetSuite Canada. “We look forward to continuing our work with education institutions and students to help them embrace technology of today and tomorrow.”
