Over 4,000 attendees expected to attend Cloudforce New York – the largest cloud computing event outside of Dreamforce
Free industry event will detail the shift to Cloud 2 – mobile, social and open cloud computing – with more than 30 sessions and 45 industry partners
SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 28, 2011 — Salesforce.com (NYSE: CRM), the enterprise cloud computing company, today announced chairman and CEO Marc Benioff will deliver the keynote address at salesforce.com’s Cloudforce New York event, held at the Javits Convention Center on March 3. Benioff’s keynote will begin at 10:00 a.m. ET and can also be viewed online at Salesforce Live at http://www.salesforce.com/live/. With more than 4,000 attendees expected, Cloudforce New York is set to be the largest cloud computing event next to salesforce.com’s annual Dreamforce conference.

The first generation of cloud computing was about leveraging technologies that were low cost, fast and easy to use. Salesforce.com recognizes a massive shift is under way in the industry to Cloud 2, the next generation of cloud computing that is social, mobile and open. Benioff’s keynote will focus on the shift to Cloud 2, and he will be joined on stage by Bob Beauchamp, CEO, BMC Software Inc., and Jane Moran, global CIO, ThomsonReuters.
Accelerating Cloud 2 Education and Adoption
Attendees will be able to take part in more than 30 sessions to learn how they can take advantage of the shift to Cloud 2 to help run their businesses. Including sessions on Chatter, the private social network for business, the Sales Cloud and Service Cloud, the Force.com platform and more, attendees will be able to cover the full salesforce.com Cloud 2 ecosystem of apps, platform and collaboration. There will also be a Force.com Zone with 16 developer labs and 4 code consultation stations for hands on experiences for attendees.
