SAN FRANCISCO (December 07, 2010) – Dreamforce 2010 — Building on 11 years of innovation, salesforce.com (NYSE: CRM), the enterprise cloud computing company, today welcomes a record turnout to Dreamforce 8: Collabor8, the company’s eighth annual user and developer conference. In today’s keynote, salesforce.com will unveil its vision for Cloud 2 across all six clouds – Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Salesforce Chatter Collaboration Cloud, Jigsaw Data Cloud, the Force.com Platform Cloud and the new Database.com, the world’s first enterprise cloud database. Dreamforce is being held at Moscone Center in San Francisco from December 6-9, 2010, and live webcasts of the keynotes are available at www.salesforce.com/live.

“Dreamforce is cloud computing’s premier conference,” said Marc Benioff, chairman and CEO, salesforce.com. “Today we will redefine salesforce.com again as the world’s largest and most important enterprise cloud computing company—for applications and platforms.”

The Future of the Database: Database.com

Database.com is the world’s first enterprise database built for the cloud. Database.com is built from the ground up to power a new generation of enterprise applications that are cloud, mobile and social. Database.com is open, for use with any language, platform and device. Database.com enables developers to focus on building great applications, instead of tuning, maintaining, and scaling databases. Database.com leverages the proven infrastructure and technology trusted by more than 87,000 salesforce.com customers over 11 years – now designed and made available as a standalone cloud database.

The Future of Enterprise-Wide Collaboration: Salesforce Chatter

Chatter Free is a new edition of Salesforce Chatter that is completely free and allows enterprises to extend social collaboration technology to every employee in the organization. Chatter Free will accelerate the adoption of social collaboration throughout the enterprise. Using the social invitation model popularized by Facebook, now any Salesforce user can invite colleagues to collaborate with Salesforce Chatter. The result is a new level of productivity that crosses departments and organizational barriers.
