SAN FRANCISCO (April 25, 2012) – SugarCRM, the world’s fastest-growing customer relationship management (CRM) company, today announced it has signed a new distribution agreement with Ingram Micro (NYSE:IM), the world’s largest IT distributor. The agreement, announced at SugarCon 2012, will allow the channel partners who are part of Ingram Micro’s Advanced Computing Division to sell and distribute SugarCRM’s flagship product, Sugar 6.5, in North America. The arrangement takes effect beginning immediately.
As part of Ingram Micro’s growing business application portfolio, channel partners will have the ability to service demand from enterprise clients for SugarCRM’s award-winning CRM solutions. Ingram Micro will offer the Sugar 6.5 portfolio to businesses interested in enhancing communication with prospects, collaborating and sharing sales information, closing deals and keeping customers happy. The agreement will also enable the parties to jointly bring integrated IBM solutions to market.
“We’re delighted to welcome SugarCRM as a new vendor partner,” said Jason Hernandez, director, Advanced Computing Division, Ingram Micro U.S for Ingram Micro. “The SugarCRM portfolio will provide our channel community with highly customizable offerings that can easily scale to meet the needs of a variety of customers.”
SugarCRM has been very successful at enabling channel partners to grow their business by selling and providing support for the Sugar platform. In Q1 2012 alone, SugarCRM welcomed 39 new channel partners, bringing its channel community to more than 400 partners worldwide. Earlier this year SugarCRM’s channel program also received the highly sought-after 5-Star Partner Program Guide ranking by CRN magazine. CRN also named Jeff Campbell, vice president of worldwide sales and customer advocacy, and Del Ross, vice president of channel sales for North America and Latin America, as two of CRN’s 2012 Channel Chiefs. 2012 Channel Chiefs are the most influential and powerful leaders in the IT channel.
“Ingram Micro has an excellent reputation in the channel, and we’re thrilled to be working with them,” said Jeff Campbell, vice president of worldwide sales and customer advocacy for SugarCRM. “We’ve been getting pulled into enterprise deals more frequently so having the backing and resources of a distributor of Ingram Micro’s class goes a long way in helping close those deals. And the IBM competence within their partner base provides tremendous SugarCRM deployment possibilities for those enterprises.”
