Breadth, Flexibility, Control Highlight Business-Focused Suite of Integrated Apps
SAN FRANCISCO and PLEASANTON, Calif. (September 06, 2007) –
Zoho invites small and medium-sized businesses to take their productivity to the next level by working online with Zoho Mail, which integrates the company’s broad array of office productivity applications and services with powerful management features, including user, location, and time zone management.
Zoho evangelist Raju Vegesna launched Zoho Business during today’s opening presentation of the Launch Pad event at the 2007 Office 2.0 Conference, running September 5 – 7, 2007, at the St. Regis Hotel in San Francisco.
Available today as a private beta program, organizations interested in participating in the program can request access at mail.zoho.com. Planned for general availability in October, Zoho Business can be previewed via video at
http://www.viddler.com/raju/videos/9.
“Companies should be able to run their businesses online,” said Vegesna. “Zoho Business provides both the applications and the management capabilities needed to make that happen. We designed this suite to grow with an organization, from a handful of users in one location to hundreds of users in multiple locations around the world.”
Behind Zoho Business
Zoho Business provides a single sign-on and a unified, single-screen interface to the following applications: Zoho Writer, Zoho Sheet, Zoho Show, Zoho Wiki, Zoho Planner, Zoho Notebook, Zoho Chat, Zoho Viewer, Zoho Mail, Zoho Meeting, Zoho Creator, Zoho Projects, and Zoho CRM, as well as applications for managing personal and group calendars, tasks, contacts, and notes.
To simplify application and user management, Zoho Business features an administration console that supports a single, company-wide super-administrator as well as multiple, location-specific administrators. The super-administrator can create locations, set time zones, and establish local administrators in addition to performing local administrator functions, including managing user and group accounts.
Other noteworthy features of Zoho Business include multiple levels of security, including SSL; telephone support; remote back-up; and self-service document and data storage management. Zoho has also enabled co-branding and domain management, which lets companies place their own logos on the Zoho Business user interface and access the Zoho Business applications using their own corporate URLs.
Continued Vegesna, “At one level, our Zoho Business customers have the same concerns as our individual users. They want quality applications that are easy to use. But business customers also need management, security, back-up, and other features. With Zoho Business, we’re delivering those features in order to remove as many barriers as possible to working online.”
