Ecuador’s CNT Selects Amdocs to Provide Integrated BSS/OSS System

Convergent solution enables CNT to quickly launch new services and pricing bundles, while increasing operational efficiencies

ST. LOUIS (May 01, 2012) –  Amdocs (NYSE: DOX), the leading provider of customer experience systems and services, today announced that Corporacion Nacional de Telecomunicaciones (CNT), Ecuador’s government-owned communications services provider, has selected Amdocs to provide an integrated business support system (BSS) and operational support system (OSS) solution.  The convergent solution will initially support CNT’s wireline operations — encompassing its fixed-line, enterprise, broadband and IPTV lines of business – with the capability to support wireless services in the future.

Amdocs will provide a broad range of products from its Amdocs Customer Experience Systems (CES) product portfolio in order to provide CNT with a modern, fully integrated solution.  By integrating business and operational support systems, the Amdocs solution will provide CNT with a single view of its customers, enabling improved support for business processes.  The system will also improve business agility, enabling CNT to better respond to changing business and market conditions.

Amdocs is providing complete, end-to-end contract management services for the CNT deployment, with IBM providing service assurance.  Amdocs and IBM have agreed to work with each other on future opportunities in South America and elsewhere, as part of a global OSS partnership agreement combining their capabilities and expertise to offer service providers an integrated OSS offering that includes hardware, software and services. The end-to-end solution provided to CNT is based on IBM technology – power servers and IBM middleware software.

“This next-generation deployment will enable CNT to offer exciting new services and bundles supporting their strategic business growth,” said Patrick McGrory, president, CALA (Caribbean and Latin America) for Amdocs.  ”Our industry-leading products, coupled with our proven service delivery track record, will help CNT to further enhance the experiences they deliver to their customers.”
