Sprint Extends and Expands Relationship with Amdocs

Sprint signs new seven-year managed services deal with Amdocs for its billing and customer care systems

ST. LOUIS (November 06, 2012) –  Amdocs (NYSE: DOX), the leading provider of customer experience systems and services, today announced a seven-year extension through January 2021 of its relationship with Sprint, one of North America’s leading service providers. Amdocs will continue to manage key business processes, including billing, customer care and IT infrastructure management under a managed services model hosted at an Amdocs data center.  The new agreement includes the continued support of the Sprint and Boost Mobile brands and the expansion to now support the Virgin Mobile USA and Assurance Wireless brands.

“We have a strong strategic relationship with Amdocs, providing the platform for our iCare customer-service initiatives, as well as our billing and charging capabilities,” said Peter Campbell, senior vice president – Information Technology at Sprint. “In working with us to ensure we provide our customers with the best customer experience, Amdocs has played an integral role in our success, which we look forward to continuing.”

“Sprint’s decision to expand our long-term agreement reflects the value that Amdocs managed services and our CES product portfolio can bring to service providers, both in terms of cost savings and in the ability to more quickly roll out new services,” said Brian Shepherd, group president at Amdocs. “We see a continued trend of service providers like Sprint to outsource key elements of their business and operational support systems so they can stay ahead of competition by focusing on service innovations and best-in-class customer experience.”

Amdocs’s billing and customer care platforms have helped Sprint become the No. 1 U.S. company in customer satisfaction and most improved, across 47 industries, during the last four years, according to the 2012 American Customer Satisfaction Index.
