Tata Communications Deploys Amdocs Solution to Consolidate Network Inventory Worldwide

Deployment links India and North America entities to provide Tata Communications with a seamless view of ~30,000 circuits across their 4000+ enterprise customer

ST. LOUIS (May 22, 2012) –  Amdocs (NYSE: DOX), the leading provider of customer experience systems and services, today announced that Tata Communications, one of the world’s largest and most advanced network providers, has deployed Amdocs Resource Manager, a key part of Amdocs’ service fulfillment solution, to consolidate its network inventory and to provide the organization with an enterprise-wide view of its network resources.

Having already installed Amdocs’ fulfillment solution in India, this deployment now expands to cover the North America markets and gives Tata Communications bi-directional operability between its Indian and North American inventories, providing a global view of its network inventory and enhancing services to the company’s 4000+ enterprise customers.

“The inventory consolidation will speed our time to market for new services, and enable us to fulfill services over our global network faster and with significantly fewer fallouts, thereby improving the service provisioning, assurance and billing experience for our enterprise customers,” said John Locke, CIO, Tata Communications. “This further solidifies our strategy to consolidate our worldwide network inventory systems. It will also improve our data integrity, reduce our operating costs and facilitate faster network problem resolution.”

The solution maintains an accurate model of all network resources, supporting all technologies, devices and services from both a physical and a logical perspective. In addition, the Amdocs solution streamlines and automates operational processes, enforcing business and technical rules to improve fulfillment reliability. Amdocs served as the prime systems integrator for the project, which included interfacing to 17 separate systems and providing complete data migration and cleansing.

Amdocs has been working with Tata Communications since 2005, when it deployed Amdocs OSS in India to manage its broadband, wholesale voice, enterprise and carrier data offerings.
