We have been tried a few popular CRM but Highrise has been the best. Not only the performance and usability, but it has a great API. As software developers we noticed that there are many missing functions that we can easily implement. So we created an extra, named WeLoveHighrise, with which we expanded Highrise by new extra functions. For example: task templates, batch tagging and batch custom field modification on hundreds of contacts by a single click. And of course we created a more sophisticated contact filter and much more. It’s amazing…

    Keep Alternatives in Mind

One of the problems associated with highrise is the lack of integration. For SMBs, managing integration becomes a key part of choosing applications, as they usually need to manage CRM, projects, and billing apps.

That’s why alternatives like WORKetc are gaining pace; WORKetc, in one app, does more than Highrise, Basecamp, and Campfire combined. That’s three apps that don’t integrate at the core, with 3 separate monthly costs – which could all be replaced by one single solution. With WORKetc the integration goes much deeper, and allows for items across a business to be paired and managed in groups, with added automation tools for easier business management.

    Highrise is a HUGE inconvenience

Although I am fully content with its project collaboration tool, Basecamp, Highrise CRM has been an annoying inconvenience for my company. My associates have often complained that when a customer calls in for an issue or inquiry, they’ve had trouble accessing his/her record even if they’re listed in the database. For my managers, they voiced that they don’t have complete access to information regarding clients and prospects our team works with. As the President of my business, I too am unable to access my entire database of clients and vendors. Since my entire company can not have full visibility of our client list/info, developing successful marketing campaigns becomes extremely difficult. Without a good marketing campaign, we can’t produce customer newsletters. After implementing Highrise, our customer service has declined, and my company looks unprepared and unprofessional because their company history is invisbile to us. Another huge disadvantage is that government agencies may legally request specific contact information in our database, and because Highrise can not completely comply with this request, my company stands at risk. I don’t advise any business to implement Highrise CRM, although their collaboration tools can be somewhat helpful.
